Misdirected Indignation

By all accounts Dominique Strauss-Kahn seems to be a misogynistic philandering lout. On August 23, the former chief of the International Monetary Fund had criminal sexual assault charges dropped by the court in New York but he still has a pending investigation in France for attempted rape.

Entering and exiting the courthouse, DSK and his legal team navigated throngs of protestors and hecklers seeking justice. At least that’s what they claimed to be seeking.

Placards blasted DSK, the prosecutor, and the legal system. Other signs supported the alleged victim or commented more generally about rape in our society.
